AI search and working with a developer
What is Digital PR?
Digital PR is earning coverage and links by producing something worth writing about — original data, a genuinely useful tool, or expert commentary. It is the only link acquisition method that is both effective and safe from penalty.
Also called: link earning · content promotion
What actually earns links
- Original data nobody else has, even from a small sample
- A free tool that solves a specific problem in one click
- A definitive resource on something niche and under-served
- Expert commentary offered promptly when something changes in your field
What does not
Announcing your new website. Publishing a listicle that already exists in twenty versions. Emailing strangers to ask for a link to a services page. All three are the standard advice and all three fail, because none of them gave anyone a reason to link.
The realistic version for a one-person business
Publish the thing you know that others in your trade do not write down. A guide that documents a real failure mode with real evidence gets cited by people solving that problem, and that is a slower but genuinely durable link engine.
