Web developer in Regina

Websites, online stores and technical SEO for Regina businesses — built remotely from Islamabad, quoted in CAD, scoped in writing before anything starts.

A working site for a Regina business is a smaller and more boring thing than most agencies will sell you. Fast pages, honest copy, a form that works on a phone, and structured data so search engines can read what you do. There is no fifth thing. The budget saved by not buying the fifth thing is better spent on photography.

What working with a Canadian client actually changes

These are the terms that differ by country rather than by town. They apply to every business in Canada, Regina included, and they are the substance of what this page is claiming.

Quoted and invoiced in CAD — never a converted figure presented at the end
Tax position GST/HST at 5–15% depending on province — my invoices are zero-rated exports and carry no Canadian tax
Your customers' data sits under PIPEDA federally, with Quebec Law 25 layered on top if you have Quebec customers
Lawful transfer mechanism a written DPA naming Pakistan as the processing location, which PIPEDA requires you to disclose to your own customers
Checkout can realistically use Stripe, Interac e-Transfer for deposits, and Moneris where an existing merchant account has to stay
My day, in Regina time 00:00–09:00 — which barely touches your working day, so a shifted window is agreed in writing instead

One thing worth knowing about building for Canada

Quebec Law 25 caught a lot of Canadian sites out: consent has to be explicit and granular, and the default cookie banner most agencies drop in does not meet it. I build the consent layer properly rather than bolting on a plugin.

How a Regina build is scoped before anything is written

Scope is fixed in writing before development starts, and the number in that document is the number on the invoice. For Regina projects that document lists every page, every form, every integration and every third-party account the site will touch — priced in CAD, not converted at the end from something else.

The reason this matters more than it sounds: almost every dispute in web development is a scope dispute wearing a different hat. "Can you just add" is how a three-day build becomes a three-week one. Fixing scope up front does not stop you changing your mind; it makes the cost of changing your mind visible before you commit to it, which is the only honest way to run a fixed price.

Trades and field services in Regina

Builders, electricians, plumbers, roofers and installers share one problem: the customer is deciding on their phone, often standing in the room with the problem, and they will call the first firm that looks like it will pick up. Three things decide it — the phone number tappable in the header, a coverage list naming their town, and photographs of your own finished work rather than stock.

The thing trades sites most often get wrong is the quote form. Asking for a full address, a project budget and a preferred start date before anything else is a form built for your admin convenience, not for the customer. Two fields and a photo upload will produce more enquiries than eight fields ever will, and the rest can be collected on the call you just earned.

Structured data that is missing, wrong, or quietly lying

Schema markup is how a search engine reads what a page means rather than only what it says. Missing it costs you rich results. Getting it wrong is worse: marking up review stars you do not have, or a LocalBusiness at an address that is not yours, risks a manual action rather than a ranking.

Every page I build carries schema matching what is actually on it and nothing beyond that. The restraint is deliberate — this page uses Service and areaServed rather than LocalBusiness, precisely because there is no physical presence in Regina to assert.

Hiring a developer who is not in Regina

What makes remote work fail is almost never the distance. It is the absence of a written record — decisions made on calls, nothing agreed in text, two people remembering different things six weeks later. Every Regina project runs with the scope, the change log and the decisions in writing, which is dull and is the entire reason the fixed price holds.

What I build for Regina businesses

Fixed-scope, fixed-price, quoted in CAD. The full list is on the services page.

E-commerce website development I build online stores end to end — catalogue, cart, Stripe checkout, order emails and the technical SEO that gets them found. Six of the fifteen sites I have shipped are e-commerce builds, and every one of them takes real payments. From $150 · 7 days Technical SEO audits and implementation Most SEO audits hand you a 60-page document and an invoice. I am a developer first, so I find the problems and then fix them in the codebase — crawlability, indexation, schema, Core Web Vitals, and whether AI answer engines can read your site at all. From $80 · 3 days Business website development Most small business websites fail at one job: turning a stranger who searched for your service into a phone call. I build the version that does — three days, mobile-first, live on your own hosting, with the enquiry form tested before anybody sees it. From $80 · 3 days Custom website development A template is the right answer more often than developers like to admit. This page is about the times it is not — when the thing your business does has a shape no theme author anticipated, and forcing it into one costs more in permanent workarounds than building it properly would have cost once. From $200 · 10 days Web application development A website presents information. An application does work — it holds state, enforces rules, and produces something at the end. Most businesses that need the second one are running it on a spreadsheet nobody is allowed to sort, and paying for that in errors rather than in software. From $200 · 10 days

What I am not claiming about Regina

A location page is the easiest place on a website to imply something untrue, so here is the other side of it plainly:

Regina web development — common questions

What currency will I be invoiced in?
CAD. Quotes, milestones and the final invoice are all written in CAD so you are never comparing a converted figure against a local supplier's. Regarding tax: GST/HST at 5–15% depending on province — my invoices are zero-rated exports and carry no Canadian tax.
Who owns the website when it is finished?
You do, completely. The domain is registered in your name, hosting sits in your account, the code lives in a repository you control, and any payment provider account is opened in your business name. Credentials are handed to you as they are created rather than at the end, so you are never locked out of your own site.
How do you handle our customers' data under PIPEDA federally?
Your customer data is governed by PIPEDA federally, with Quebec Law 25 layered on top if you have Quebec customers, and sending it to a developer in Pakistan is a restricted transfer. That is resolved by a written DPA naming Pakistan as the processing location, which PIPEDA requires you to disclose to your own customers, published on this site and pre-signed before you send an enquiry — not drafted after you ask about it.
What payment methods can my Regina checkout accept?
For Canada: Stripe, Interac e-Transfer for deposits, and Moneris where an existing merchant account has to stay. The right combination depends on your average basket and your customers, and picking wrong is expensive — the payment method a buyer expects but cannot find is one of the most common reasons a checkout is abandoned at the final step.
How long does a Regina project actually take?
Three days for a business site, seven for a store, ten for a custom application. That holds because the process is fixed rather than improvised and because your content exists on day one. What stretches a build is almost never the code — it is waiting for copy, logos and photographs, so those are requested before the clock starts.
Can you fix my existing site rather than rebuild it?
Often, yes, and it is usually the cheaper answer. Speed problems, a broken mobile layout, a form that silently fails or missing structured data are all fixable on the site you already have. I will tell you which of the two you need after looking, and a rebuild only gets recommended when the fix would cost more than starting again.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance after launch?
Thirty days of snag fixes are included after launch at no extra cost — anything that does not work as specified gets fixed. Beyond that there are monthly plans for updates, backups, monitoring and small changes. They are optional and cancellable; a site handed over properly does not require a retainer to keep running.
