The problem
Security buyers arrive worried and uninformed. They cannot fill in a form asking which system they want, because they do not know — and asking them anyway is why most installer sites convert badly.
They are also risk-averse, which means accreditations and insurance are the deciding trust signal. On most competitor sites those sit in a footer nobody reads.
Commercial and residential buyers want different things, and a single blended page serves neither.
What I built
Comparison content explaining IP versus analogue systems, camera counts and storage in plain language, so the buyer can self-educate to the point of confidence before being asked for anything.
A free-survey booking form that captures property type up front, which lets the installer arrive prepared and lets the buyer commit to something small rather than to a purchase.
Separate commercial and residential paths with their own pages and their own language, and accreditation badges placed where they are actually seen rather than in the footer.
Local SEO scoped to the towns the company genuinely covers.
Decisions worth explaining
The primary call to action is a survey, not a quote. A quote requires the buyer to know what they want; a survey requires only that they have a problem — which is the state they are actually in.
The installation gallery leads with detail shots of cable runs and mounting rather than with finished-room photography, because the buyer worried about a botched install is reassured by workmanship, not by interiors.
