Web developer in Dijon
Websites, online stores and technical SEO for Dijon businesses — built remotely from Islamabad, quoted in EUR, scoped in writing before anything starts.
The competitive question in Dijon is rarely design. It is whether a visitor can work out, within about eight seconds, what you sell, what it costs, and what happens next. Sites that answer all three convert; sites that answer none of them collect traffic and no enquiries. Everything below is built around answering those three.
What working with a French client actually changes
These are the terms that differ by country rather than by town. They apply to every business in France, Dijon included, and they are the substance of what this page is claiming.
| Quoted and invoiced in | EUR — never a converted figure presented at the end |
|---|---|
| Tax position | VAT at 20%, reverse-charged |
| Your customers' data sits under | the EU GDPR, enforced by the CNIL |
| Lawful transfer mechanism | a DPA with EU Standard Contractual Clauses |
| Checkout can realistically use | Cartes Bancaires, Stripe, Lydia, and PayPal |
| My day, in Dijon time | 06:00–15:00 — about 6 hours inside a normal working day |
One thing worth knowing about building for France
The CNIL enforces cookie rules more aggressively than most EU regulators, and "refuse all" must be as easy as "accept all". A French site running a standard one-button banner is carrying a known, fineable defect.
Why the Dijon quote lists exclusions as well as inclusions
Every quote I send names what is not included as explicitly as what is. Copywriting from scratch, photography, logo design, ongoing content, paid advertising and third-party licence fees are the usual ones. A quote listing only inclusions is not cheaper — it is the same price with the arguments deferred to later.
This is unpopular at the proposal stage and it is the reason fixed prices hold. Someone comparing three quotes for a Dijon project is usually comparing three different scopes without realising it, and the cheapest one is very often the one that excluded the most while saying the least.
Professional services in Dijon
Accountants, solicitors, consultants and agencies sell judgement, which cannot be photographed. What converts instead is specificity: the sectors you actually work in, the size of client you actually serve, and named people with real biographies. A professional services site full of stock imagery and the word "bespoke" is indistinguishable from every competitor in Dijon.
Practically, the site's job is qualification rather than lead volume. Publishing your minimum engagement size loses you enquiries and saves you hours, and almost every practice I have built for concluded afterwards that it should have done it sooner.
Analytics that has never once been looked at
Most sites carry a tracking tag and no measurement. Nobody defined what counts as a conversion, so the dashboard reports sessions and bounce rate — numbers that move up and down and change no decision anybody makes.
Useful measurement is narrow: form submissions, phone taps, WhatsApp clicks, and which pages preceded them. Four numbers checked monthly beat forty never opened, and knowing which Dijon search terms actually produce enquiries is what turns the site from a cost into something you can steer.
Hiring a developer who is not in Dijon
Distance costs you two specific things and I would rather name them than let you discover them. The first is spontaneous communication: you cannot walk in. The second is legal recourse, which is genuinely harder across borders. The first is handled by a fixed weekly call and a shared board you can read without asking. The second is handled by milestones — you pay for work already delivered and reviewable, never for work promised.

Priced for Dijon specifically
What I am not claiming about Dijon
A location page is the easiest place on a website to imply something untrue, so here is the other side of it plainly:
- I have no office, postal address or phone number in Dijon
- I cannot meet you in person, and if that is a requirement you should hire locally
- I am not claiming existing clients in Dijon specifically — my live work is listed on the work page and you can check it
- Nothing on this page is a guarantee of search rankings, which no developer can honestly offer
Dijon web development — common questions
- How do you handle our customers' data under EU GDPR?
- Your customer data is governed by the EU GDPR, enforced by the CNIL, and sending it to a developer in Pakistan is a restricted transfer. That is resolved by a DPA with EU Standard Contractual Clauses, published on this site and pre-signed before you send an enquiry — not drafted after you ask about it.
- Who owns the website when it is finished?
- You do, completely. The domain is registered in your name, hosting sits in your account, the code lives in a repository you control, and any payment provider account is opened in your business name. Credentials are handed to you as they are created rather than at the end, so you are never locked out of your own site.
- What currency will I be invoiced in?
- EUR. Quotes, milestones and the final invoice are all written in EUR so you are never comparing a converted figure against a local supplier's. Regarding tax: VAT at 20%, reverse-charged.
- How much does a website cost in Dijon?
- A business website starts from €75 and goes live in about three days. An e-commerce build starts from €140 in around seven days, and a custom application from €180 in ten. Those are starting figures — the exact number is fixed in writing once scope is agreed, and it does not move after that.
- Do you actually work with businesses in Dijon?
- Yes, remotely. I work with French clients from Islamabad, quoting in EUR and invoicing in EUR. I have no office, address or phone number in Dijon and will not pretend otherwise. If your project needs someone physically present, hire locally — I will say so in the first reply rather than after a deposit.
- Do I need to provide the content and images?
- Content, yes — you know your business and I do not. I will restructure and edit what you send so it reads for the web, and I will tell you where a section is missing. Photography is worth paying a local photographer for; stock images of people in offices are recognisable as stock and quietly cost you credibility.
- Can you migrate my Dijon site without losing rankings?
- Yes, and the redirect map is the whole job. Every existing URL is mapped to its new equivalent with a 301 before launch, and anything with no equivalent goes to the closest relevant page rather than the homepage. Sites lose rankings in migration because that mapping was skipped, not because migration is inherently risky.
