Business website development in Surrey
Most small business websites fail at one job: turning a stranger who searched for your service into a phone call. I build the version that does — three days, mobile-first, live on your own hosting, with the enquiry form tested before anybody sees it. For Surrey businesses, quoted in CAD from $80, typically live in 3 days.
What business website development includes for a Surrey business
Fixed scope, agreed in writing before development starts. From $80, typically live in 3 days.
- Up to eight pages: home, services, about, contact and the pages your enquiries actually need
- Enquiry form with server-side validation, spam protection and a delivery path tested end to end
- Mobile-first responsive build, designed against a phone screen before a desktop one
- Technical SEO baseline: a unique title and description per page, schema, sitemap, robots.txt
- LocalBusiness or Organization structured data matching your real trading details
- Google Search Console and Business Profile connected at launch
- Deployment to your hosting, SSL, and redirects from any old URLs
- 30 days of snag fixes after go-live
The terms for a Canadian client
| Starting price | From $80, quoted and invoiced in CAD |
|---|---|
| Typical timeline | 3 days once content is supplied |
| Tax position | GST/HST at 5–15% depending on province — my invoices are zero-rated exports and carry no Canadian tax |
| Data protection | PIPEDA federally, with Quebec Law 25 layered on top if you have Quebec customers — resolved by a written DPA naming Pakistan as the processing location, which PIPEDA requires you to disclose to your own customers |
| Payment rails available | Stripe, Interac e-Transfer for deposits, and Moneris where an existing merchant account has to stay |
| My day in Surrey time | 00:00–09:00 — a shifted window is agreed in writing instead |
Why this matters for Canada specifically
Quebec Law 25 caught a lot of Canadian sites out: consent has to be explicit and granular, and the default cookie banner most agencies drop in does not meet it. I build the consent layer properly rather than bolting on a plugin.
Why the Surrey quote lists exclusions as well as inclusions
Every quote I send names what is not included as explicitly as what is. Copywriting from scratch, photography, logo design, ongoing content, paid advertising and third-party licence fees are the usual ones. A quote listing only inclusions is not cheaper — it is the same price with the arguments deferred to later.
This is unpopular at the proposal stage and it is the reason fixed prices hold. Someone comparing three quotes for a Surrey project is usually comparing three different scopes without realising it, and the cheapest one is very often the one that excluded the most while saying the least.
Professional services in Surrey
Accountants, solicitors, consultants and agencies sell judgement, which cannot be photographed. What converts instead is specificity: the sectors you actually work in, the size of client you actually serve, and named people with real biographies. A professional services site full of stock imagery and the word "bespoke" is indistinguishable from every competitor in Surrey.
Practically, the site's job is qualification rather than lead volume. Publishing your minimum engagement size loses you enquiries and saves you hours, and almost every practice I have built for concluded afterwards that it should have done it sooner.
Images shipped at ten times the size they display
A hero photograph exported at 4000 pixels wide and displayed at 400 is the most common single cause of a slow page. The browser downloads all of it and then discards most of it. On a phone over mobile data that is several seconds spent waiting for pixels nobody will ever see.
The fix is generating each image at the sizes actually used, serving AVIF or WebP with a fallback, and setting explicit width and height so the layout does not jump while they load. It is mechanical work with a directly measurable result, which makes it the first thing worth doing on almost any Surrey site.
What I am not claiming about Surrey
- I have no office, postal address or phone number in Surrey
- I cannot meet you in person, and if that is a requirement you should hire locally
- I am not claiming existing clients in Surrey specifically — my live work is listed on the work page and you can check it
- Nothing on this page is a guarantee of search rankings, which no developer can honestly offer
Business website development in Surrey — common questions
- How much does a website cost in Surrey?
- A business website starts from C$110 and goes live in about three days. An e-commerce build starts from C$210 in around seven days, and a custom application from C$270 in ten. Those are starting figures — the exact number is fixed in writing once scope is agreed, and it does not move after that.
- What currency will I be invoiced in?
- CAD. Quotes, milestones and the final invoice are all written in CAD so you are never comparing a converted figure against a local supplier's. Regarding tax: GST/HST at 5–15% depending on province — my invoices are zero-rated exports and carry no Canadian tax.
- Do I need to provide the content and images?
- Content, yes — you know your business and I do not. I will restructure and edit what you send so it reads for the web, and I will tell you where a section is missing. Photography is worth paying a local photographer for; stock images of people in offices are recognisable as stock and quietly cost you credibility.
- Do you actually work with businesses in Surrey?
- Yes, remotely. I work with Canadian clients from Islamabad, quoting in CAD and invoicing in CAD. I have no office, address or phone number in Surrey and will not pretend otherwise. If your project needs someone physically present, hire locally — I will say so in the first reply rather than after a deposit.
- What payment methods can my Surrey checkout accept?
- For Canada: Stripe, Interac e-Transfer for deposits, and Moneris where an existing merchant account has to stay. The right combination depends on your average basket and your customers, and picking wrong is expensive — the payment method a buyer expects but cannot find is one of the most common reasons a checkout is abandoned at the final step.
- How long does a Surrey project actually take?
- Three days for a business site, seven for a store, ten for a custom application. That holds because the process is fixed rather than improvised and because your content exists on day one. What stretches a build is almost never the code — it is waiting for copy, logos and photographs, so those are requested before the clock starts.
- Who owns the website when it is finished?
- You do, completely. The domain is registered in your name, hosting sits in your account, the code lives in a repository you control, and any payment provider account is opened in your business name. Credentials are handed to you as they are created rather than at the end, so you are never locked out of your own site.
