Web developer in Dehradun
Websites, online stores and technical SEO for Dehradun businesses — built remotely from Islamabad, quoted in INR, scoped in writing before anything starts.
The competitive question in Dehradun is rarely design. It is whether a visitor can work out, within about eight seconds, what you sell, what it costs, and what happens next. Sites that answer all three convert; sites that answer none of them collect traffic and no enquiries. Everything below is built around answering those three.
What working with a Indian client actually changes
These are the terms that differ by country rather than by town. They apply to every business in India, Dehradun included, and they are the substance of what this page is claiming.
| Quoted and invoiced in | INR — never a converted figure presented at the end |
|---|---|
| Tax position | GST at 18% on your sales; my invoices are imported services under reverse charge |
| Your customers' data sits under | the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 |
| Lawful transfer mechanism | the DPDP Act permits transfers except to notified countries, and the DPA records the basis |
| Checkout can realistically use | Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, and UPI — which now carries the majority of domestic transaction volume |
| My day, in Dehradun time | 09:30–18:30 — about 8.5 hours inside a normal working day |
One thing worth knowing about building for India
UPI changes the entire checkout design. An Indian store built around card fields first and UPI as an afterthought converts far worse than one built the other way round, and that is a layout decision, not a plugin.
Why the Dehradun quote lists exclusions as well as inclusions
Every quote I send names what is not included as explicitly as what is. Copywriting from scratch, photography, logo design, ongoing content, paid advertising and third-party licence fees are the usual ones. A quote listing only inclusions is not cheaper — it is the same price with the arguments deferred to later.
This is unpopular at the proposal stage and it is the reason fixed prices hold. Someone comparing three quotes for a Dehradun project is usually comparing three different scopes without realising it, and the cheapest one is very often the one that excluded the most while saying the least.
Property, lettings and estate agencies in Dehradun
Property sites live or die on search and filtering. A listing grid that cannot be filtered by the three things buyers actually care about — price, bedrooms, area — sends people to the portals, and once they are on a portal you are competing on fee with every other agency in Dehradun.
The technical half is feed handling: listings usually arrive from a CRM in a format designed two decades ago, and keeping the site, the portals and the window cards in agreement is where the real work sits. It is worth doing properly, because a property still showing as available after it is let generates the angriest phone calls in the business.
Images shipped at ten times the size they display
A hero photograph exported at 4000 pixels wide and displayed at 400 is the most common single cause of a slow page. The browser downloads all of it and then discards most of it. On a phone over mobile data that is several seconds spent waiting for pixels nobody will ever see.
The fix is generating each image at the sizes actually used, serving AVIF or WebP with a fallback, and setting explicit width and height so the layout does not jump while they load. It is mechanical work with a directly measurable result, which makes it the first thing worth doing on almost any Dehradun site.
Hiring a developer who is not in Dehradun
The question worth asking a remote supplier is not "where are you" but "what happens if you vanish". My answer is the handover: the repository, the hosting and the domain are in your name from the first week, not the last. Any competent developer in Dehradun could take over the project mid-build without calling me, and that is the only guarantee that means anything at this distance.

Priced for Dehradun specifically
What I am not claiming about Dehradun
A location page is the easiest place on a website to imply something untrue, so here is the other side of it plainly:
- I have no office, postal address or phone number in Dehradun
- I cannot meet you in person, and if that is a requirement you should hire locally
- I am not claiming existing clients in Dehradun specifically — my live work is listed on the work page and you can check it
- Nothing on this page is a guarantee of search rankings, which no developer can honestly offer
Dehradun web development — common questions
- Do you build on WordPress or something custom?
- Whichever the project justifies. WordPress when you need to edit content constantly and want a familiar admin. A static build when speed and security matter more than a plugin ecosystem. Custom PHP and MySQL when the logic is genuinely yours. The choice is explained in the quote with its trade-offs, not presented as a foregone conclusion.
- What happens if I am not happy with the result?
- Work is delivered in milestones against a written scope, and you review each one on a staging URL before it is paid for. If the delivered milestone does not match the scope, it gets corrected before anything moves forward. That structure exists so disagreement is resolved at the stage it happens rather than at the end when it is expensive.
- Do I need to provide the content and images?
- Content, yes — you know your business and I do not. I will restructure and edit what you send so it reads for the web, and I will tell you where a section is missing. Photography is worth paying a local photographer for; stock images of people in offices are recognisable as stock and quietly cost you credibility.
- Can you migrate my Dehradun site without losing rankings?
- Yes, and the redirect map is the whole job. Every existing URL is mapped to its new equivalent with a 301 before launch, and anything with no equivalent goes to the closest relevant page rather than the homepage. Sites lose rankings in migration because that mapping was skipped, not because migration is inherently risky.
- Can you fix my existing site rather than rebuild it?
- Often, yes, and it is usually the cheaper answer. Speed problems, a broken mobile layout, a form that silently fails or missing structured data are all fixable on the site you already have. I will tell you which of the two you need after looking, and a rebuild only gets recommended when the fix would cost more than starting again.
- What hours will you be available to us in Dehradun?
- My working day lands at 09:30–18:30 in your time, which is roughly 8.5 hours inside a normal Dehradun working day. In practice you can raise something in the morning and have it answered the same morning, and a scheduled call is easy to place at a civilised hour for both of us.
- Will the site actually rank in Dehradun search results?
- The build handles what is technically controllable: crawlable HTML, correct headings, structured data, fast pages, a clean sitemap and Search Console set up on day one. Ranking also depends on your competitors, your domain's age and the links pointing at you, which no developer controls. Anyone guaranteeing a position is guessing or lying.
