Web developer in Al Rayyan
Websites, online stores and technical SEO for Al Rayyan businesses — built remotely from Islamabad, quoted in QAR, scoped in writing before anything starts.
A working site for a Al Rayyan business is a smaller and more boring thing than most agencies will sell you. Fast pages, honest copy, a form that works on a phone, and structured data so search engines can read what you do. There is no fifth thing. The budget saved by not buying the fifth thing is better spent on photography.
What working with a Qatari client actually changes
These are the terms that differ by country rather than by town. They apply to every business in Qatar, Al Rayyan included, and they are the substance of what this page is claiming.
| Quoted and invoiced in | QAR — never a converted figure presented at the end |
|---|---|
| Tax position | no VAT at present, which keeps the invoice arithmetic simple |
| Your customers' data sits under | Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection |
| Lawful transfer mechanism | a DPA recording the transfer basis and the security measures applied |
| Checkout can realistically use | Stripe, QPay, and Dibsy for domestic card acceptance |
| My day, in Al Rayyan time | 07:00–16:00 — about 7 hours inside a normal working day |
One thing worth knowing about building for Qatar
Qatari buyers skew heavily to mobile and to Arabic-first browsing, so the build order is phone layout first, Arabic typography second, desktop last. Reversing that order is the usual reason a Doha site underperforms.
How a Al Rayyan project is paid for, and why it is staged
Payment is split across milestones tied to things you can actually look at — a staging URL, a working checkout, a completed migration — rather than to dates on a calendar. You pay for a milestone after reviewing it, in QAR, which means at no point are you more than one stage out of pocket on work you have not seen.
This exists because the alternative puts all the risk on whichever side pays first, and across a border that asymmetry is the thing that makes people nervous. Staging it does not eliminate the risk; it caps it at one milestone, which is small enough to walk away from. That is a more honest offer than a guarantee I could not enforce from here anyway.
Property, lettings and estate agencies in Al Rayyan
Property sites live or die on search and filtering. A listing grid that cannot be filtered by the three things buyers actually care about — price, bedrooms, area — sends people to the portals, and once they are on a portal you are competing on fee with every other agency in Al Rayyan.
The technical half is feed handling: listings usually arrive from a CRM in a format designed two decades ago, and keeping the site, the portals and the window cards in agreement is where the real work sits. It is worth doing properly, because a property still showing as available after it is let generates the angriest phone calls in the business.
Structured data that is missing, wrong, or quietly lying
Schema markup is how a search engine reads what a page means rather than only what it says. Missing it costs you rich results. Getting it wrong is worse: marking up review stars you do not have, or a LocalBusiness at an address that is not yours, risks a manual action rather than a ranking.
Every page I build carries schema matching what is actually on it and nothing beyond that. The restraint is deliberate — this page uses Service and areaServed rather than LocalBusiness, precisely because there is no physical presence in Al Rayyan to assert.
Hiring a developer who is not in Al Rayyan
Working across a border adds one genuine obligation most suppliers skip: your customers' personal data ends up being processed in a country their privacy notice probably does not mention. Under Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection that is your liability, not mine. It is handled here before you ask — the mechanism is published, pre-signed and linked from every page on this site.

What I am not claiming about Al Rayyan
A location page is the easiest place on a website to imply something untrue, so here is the other side of it plainly:
- I have no office, postal address or phone number in Al Rayyan
- I cannot meet you in person, and if that is a requirement you should hire locally
- I am not claiming existing clients in Al Rayyan specifically — my live work is listed on the work page and you can check it
- Nothing on this page is a guarantee of search rankings, which no developer can honestly offer
Al Rayyan web development — common questions
- How do you handle our customers' data under Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection?
- Your customer data is governed by Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection, and sending it to a developer in Pakistan is a restricted transfer. That is resolved by a DPA recording the transfer basis and the security measures applied, published on this site and pre-signed before you send an enquiry — not drafted after you ask about it.
- What payment methods can my Al Rayyan checkout accept?
- For Qatar: Stripe, QPay, and Dibsy for domestic card acceptance. The right combination depends on your average basket and your customers, and picking wrong is expensive — the payment method a buyer expects but cannot find is one of the most common reasons a checkout is abandoned at the final step.
- How long does a Al Rayyan project actually take?
- Three days for a business site, seven for a store, ten for a custom application. That holds because the process is fixed rather than improvised and because your content exists on day one. What stretches a build is almost never the code — it is waiting for copy, logos and photographs, so those are requested before the clock starts.
- What hours will you be available to us in Al Rayyan?
- My working day lands at 07:00–16:00 in your time, which is roughly 7 hours inside a normal Al Rayyan working day. In practice you can raise something in the morning and have it answered the same morning, and a scheduled call is easy to place at a civilised hour for both of us.
- Can you fix my existing site rather than rebuild it?
- Often, yes, and it is usually the cheaper answer. Speed problems, a broken mobile layout, a form that silently fails or missing structured data are all fixable on the site you already have. I will tell you which of the two you need after looking, and a rebuild only gets recommended when the fix would cost more than starting again.
- Do you provide ongoing maintenance after launch?
- Thirty days of snag fixes are included after launch at no extra cost — anything that does not work as specified gets fixed. Beyond that there are monthly plans for updates, backups, monitoring and small changes. They are optional and cancellable; a site handed over properly does not require a retainer to keep running.
- Will the site actually rank in Al Rayyan search results?
- The build handles what is technically controllable: crawlable HTML, correct headings, structured data, fast pages, a clean sitemap and Search Console set up on day one. Ranking also depends on your competitors, your domain's age and the links pointing at you, which no developer controls. Anyone guaranteeing a position is guessing or lying.
