Web developer in Al Ain
Websites, online stores and technical SEO for Al Ain businesses — built remotely from Islamabad, quoted in AED, scoped in writing before anything starts.
The useful question is not what a website in Al Ain costs. It is what one enquiry is worth to you, because that number decides everything else. A business where a lead is worth four figures should not be optimising a build down to the last hundred; a business selling a low-margin product cannot afford a bespoke platform. I ask this first and it changes the recommendation more often than not.
What working with a Emirati client actually changes
These are the terms that differ by country rather than by town. They apply to every business in United Arab Emirates, Al Ain included, and they are the substance of what this page is claiming.
| Quoted and invoiced in | AED — never a converted figure presented at the end |
|---|---|
| Tax position | VAT at 5%; my invoices are imported services under the reverse charge |
| Your customers' data sits under | Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, plus DIFC or ADGM rules if you are in a free zone |
| Lawful transfer mechanism | a DPA that names the processing location, which the DIFC regime in particular expects to see |
| Checkout can realistically use | Stripe, Network International, Telr, and Tabby for instalments |
| My day, in Al Ain time | 08:00–17:00 — about 8 hours inside a normal working day |
One thing worth knowing about building for United Arab Emirates
Arabic and English side by side is the norm rather than the exception here, and retrofitting right-to-left layout after a build is far more expensive than planning for it on day one. I scope UAE sites bilingual from the start or not at all.
How a Al Ain project is paid for, and why it is staged
Payment is split across milestones tied to things you can actually look at — a staging URL, a working checkout, a completed migration — rather than to dates on a calendar. You pay for a milestone after reviewing it, in AED, which means at no point are you more than one stage out of pocket on work you have not seen.
This exists because the alternative puts all the risk on whichever side pays first, and across a border that asymmetry is the thing that makes people nervous. Staging it does not eliminate the risk; it caps it at one milestone, which is small enough to walk away from. That is a more honest offer than a guarantee I could not enforce from here anyway.
Property, lettings and estate agencies in Al Ain
Property sites live or die on search and filtering. A listing grid that cannot be filtered by the three things buyers actually care about — price, bedrooms, area — sends people to the portals, and once they are on a portal you are competing on fee with every other agency in Al Ain.
The technical half is feed handling: listings usually arrive from a CRM in a format designed two decades ago, and keeping the site, the portals and the window cards in agreement is where the real work sits. It is worth doing properly, because a property still showing as available after it is let generates the angriest phone calls in the business.
Images shipped at ten times the size they display
A hero photograph exported at 4000 pixels wide and displayed at 400 is the most common single cause of a slow page. The browser downloads all of it and then discards most of it. On a phone over mobile data that is several seconds spent waiting for pixels nobody will ever see.
The fix is generating each image at the sizes actually used, serving AVIF or WebP with a fallback, and setting explicit width and height so the layout does not jump while they load. It is mechanical work with a directly measurable result, which makes it the first thing worth doing on almost any Al Ain site.
Hiring a developer who is not in Al Ain
Working across a border adds one genuine obligation most suppliers skip: your customers' personal data ends up being processed in a country their privacy notice probably does not mention. Under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 that is your liability, not mine. It is handled here before you ask — the mechanism is published, pre-signed and linked from every page on this site.

Priced for Al Ain specifically
What I am not claiming about Al Ain
A location page is the easiest place on a website to imply something untrue, so here is the other side of it plainly:
- I have no office, postal address or phone number in Al Ain
- I cannot meet you in person, and if that is a requirement you should hire locally
- I am not claiming existing clients in Al Ain specifically — my live work is listed on the work page and you can check it
- Nothing on this page is a guarantee of search rankings, which no developer can honestly offer
Al Ain web development — common questions
- How long does a Al Ain project actually take?
- Three days for a business site, seven for a store, ten for a custom application. That holds because the process is fixed rather than improvised and because your content exists on day one. What stretches a build is almost never the code — it is waiting for copy, logos and photographs, so those are requested before the clock starts.
- What hours will you be available to us in Al Ain?
- My working day lands at 08:00–17:00 in your time, which is roughly 8 hours inside a normal Al Ain working day. In practice you can raise something in the morning and have it answered the same morning, and a scheduled call is easy to place at a civilised hour for both of us.
- Can you fix my existing site rather than rebuild it?
- Often, yes, and it is usually the cheaper answer. Speed problems, a broken mobile layout, a form that silently fails or missing structured data are all fixable on the site you already have. I will tell you which of the two you need after looking, and a rebuild only gets recommended when the fix would cost more than starting again.
- Do you provide ongoing maintenance after launch?
- Thirty days of snag fixes are included after launch at no extra cost — anything that does not work as specified gets fixed. Beyond that there are monthly plans for updates, backups, monitoring and small changes. They are optional and cancellable; a site handed over properly does not require a retainer to keep running.
- What currency will I be invoiced in?
- AED. Quotes, milestones and the final invoice are all written in AED so you are never comparing a converted figure against a local supplier's. Regarding tax: VAT at 5%; my invoices are imported services under the reverse charge.
- Who owns the website when it is finished?
- You do, completely. The domain is registered in your name, hosting sits in your account, the code lives in a repository you control, and any payment provider account is opened in your business name. Credentials are handed to you as they are created rather than at the end, so you are never locked out of your own site.
- How do you handle our customers' data under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021?
- Your customer data is governed by Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, plus DIFC or ADGM rules if you are in a free zone, and sending it to a developer in Pakistan is a restricted transfer. That is resolved by a DPA that names the processing location, which the DIFC regime in particular expects to see, published on this site and pre-signed before you send an enquiry — not drafted after you ask about it.
